Karen Hansen, MSPT, CSCS

Karen has been practicing physical therapy for over twenty years and has been at Chugach Physical Therapy for over ten. She received her Bachelors degree in Human Biology from Northern Arizona University. Then, she received her MSPT in 1991 from the University of the Pacific. Post-graduation, she did a 6-month residency in Vallejo, California, for Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). Karen became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2004 through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a certified Golf Fitness Professional through the Titlist Performance Institute.
Karen specializes in general outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. Her treatment philosophy focuses on developing proper alignment through mobility, stability, and strength. She strives to create a positive environment for the success of the patient.
In her free time, Karen enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and traveling.
