Joan Stassel, MSPT

Joan has been with Chugach Physical Therapy for seventeen years. She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, in 1977 with a BA in Psychology and BS in Physical Education. She then went to the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 1994. Joan has been practicing for twenty-eight years primarily in outpatient orthopedic therapy. She briefly worked for the Anchorage School District doing physical therapy with elementary school students.
Joan specializes in shoulders, knees, ankles, feet, spine, and general conditioning following illness or a surgery.
Outside of work, Joan enjoys recreational exercise and sports, outdoor activities, traveling, performing arts and music, and practicing Christian values.
